For the most part the earnings were quite impressive on the growth side, but Google (GOOG, GOOGL) missed earnings estimates. Not only that, but if you look out a few quarters – analysts are basically seeing Google’s earnings growth go to near zero – and revenue growth to go back to the mid-teens. That’s likely to keep Google’s multiples (P/S, P/E) lower than some investors are anticipating. We discuss the Q1 results, valuation of Google stock and the technical analysis charts for Google.
